Zak Group is a design office. Its work focuses on identity and creative direction for people, institutions and brands guiding the trajectory of contemporary culture. By visualising strategy and articulating core values, it creates connections with global audiences. Founded in 2005 and headquartered in London, the office initiates ideas for its creative partners. Guided by a belief in the necessity of cultural expression, Zak Group uses design as a masterkey to build bridges between ideas, disciplines and people.
Zak Group is an international design practice for arts and culture, based in London. We are an eight-person team of two art directors, two developers, three graphic designers and a project manager. While London's stimulating cultural environment anchors our practice, we have completed award-winning projects across Europe, North America and Asia. We join forces with pre-existing teams, or build a bespoke team by drawing upon our international network of specialists covering the fields of editing, publishing, type design, architecture, curating and PR.
Our clients approach us to give shape to contemporary culture. We do this by combining a creative and strategic approach with a progressive visual sensibility. Our work takes shape across the full spectrum of visual media—from branding, websites and exhibitions, to books, printed matter, typefaces and events.
Our approach to digital combines progressive modes of visual communication with an understanding of modern technology. Our integrated process allows us to explore design and technology in parallel, from inception to completion, through the development and testing of prototypes. We use modern reactive front-end frameworks alongside flexible content management platforms to build progressive web apps deployed on fast, reliable infrastructure. Often this results in digital platforms that fluidly evolve alongside an institution and its users. Our projects for leading cultural organisations have resulted in institution-wide digital and content strategies.
