Studio Pandan

Studio Pandan is a Berlin-based design studio with a flair for detail and an imaginative outlook. A playful sensibility informs our approach to identity systems across print and digital, as well as our design for standalone publications and websites. We take great care in creating an active dialogue with our clients, often forging long-term relationships in the process, and connecting the dots with our conceptually-driven, individually-tailored solutions. It's our belief that a successful outcome reflects a client's intentions back to them, while also making visible something new - it's a magic mirror, crystal clear and occasionally beguiling. In our research-heavy process, we are deeply committed to the ways in which design can add new layers of meaning to a project.

Since forming in 2015, typography has been our regular tool of choice, which we wield with wit, criticality and spark. In our practice, we dance between roles and categories, donning the construction planner's hard hat when laying out your website's grid, the eye of a curator when selecting shades for your identity and the heroine's sword when traversing a maze of styles - leaving no stone unturned from concept to production. Our hands-on team is actively engaged in contemporary art and cultural scenes, bringing expertise and varied perspectives to projects of all scales. Alongside running the studio, our co-founders Ann Richter and Pia Christmann regularly lecture and host workshops at various art and design institutions.
