Qingyu Wu (Q) is a designer, lecturer, and krautrock lover based in Shanghai and New York.
Q holds a BFA in Graphic Design from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MFA in 2D Design from Cranbrook Academy of Art. Her work focuses on printed matter and graphic identities, spanning a diverse range of projects for independent artists, musicians, brands, institutions, and museums. Her achievements have been recognized by the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), the Type Directors Club (TDC), and the Art Directors Club (ADC). She has lectured at Art Center College of Design and Parsons School of Design, and has served as a guest critic at Pratt Institute.
From 2019 to 2022, Q was a full-time lecturer at the Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts. Currently, Q is a adjunct lecturer at the College of Design & Innovation, Tongji University, while also working as an independent designer, engaging in a variety of projects across different fields.
