Kumi Hiroi

Born in Japan. I have a diploma in Economics from Saitama University in Japan and a diploma in graphic design from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in the Netherlands. After experienced an internship in Sweden, worked at some design studios in the Netherlands, I founded my own studio in 2010. I am currently live and work in Amsterdam.

My ambition is to use my creativity in diverse directions. Mainly I hop around within three professions: graphic design, textile/fashion design and design management. I believe that all projects shows fragmented dots of my approach.
The dots are comfortably connected. All I do is making an original and surprising story and take my time for aesthetics and good execution. I like taking care of the details, learning different techniques for productions and managing a project as a whole. Those skills can be used for my projects and also for others.

Find similar problems in different situations, tried to figure out how to solve. Which in other words, connects solutions.

I love working with people who challenge and push me to the edge and am always open to new collaborations. I consider myself a modest, honest and sociable person, who would contribute to and benefit for you.
