Blood Becomes Water is an art collective from Sofia aka Rosie Eisor & Raya Rayax, formed around a self-publishing project in the summer of 2010. The publication of the same name, evolved during its 3 years of existence starting from a simple selection of work to a conceptual assignment given to contemporary artists and illustratiors, so that latest issues could showcase author production developed on a BBW project. Every edition is different and limited, concentrated on visual but sometimes including text and music – apart of the zine, a curated podcast series are available to listen online. Among other actvities Blood Becomes Water organizes art events, presentations and conducts know-how workshops.
The collective also functions as a publisher of other curatorial projects, catalogues, editions and is open to produce artwork & designs on a freelance basis for any medium and context.
