Andrew Brash is a graphic designer based in London, combining design for clients and collaborators with forms of research. This takes the form of books and printed matter, products, exhibitions, environmental design, interactive work, identities, workshops, interviews, lectures and the organisation of symposiums. These are created in collaboration with galleries, institutions, publishers, architects, artists, curators, writers, researchers, designers and others. Andrew worked as a designer and researcher on projects at Droog in Amsterdam, working on design and research projects with studios such as Thonik and Metahaven; as well as designing magazines, posters, exhibitions, books and products. Since then he has studied at the Royal College of Art, co-organising Red Tape – a forum for design, politics and visual culture – and focusing on the application of neomaterialist theories to design, resulting in Extramuros, an ongoing research project investigating the symbiotic relationships between image, visual identity, and the urban environment.
